Behind the Scenes

It takes a lot to put on the Farnham Charity Bike Ride for 2024, and we would like to make a few special thank you’s to all the people who volunteered their time (sweat, blood and tears!) to make this happen.

St Andrews Infant School started the event as a fundraising initiative. Recently, Bonnie (teacher at St Andrews), Kirsty (parent and governor) and Rebecca (parent and psychologist at Carlton Psychology) have led organising the event. Building on the work of so many parent volunteers before them…

We need to say an enormous thank you to Jamie, Brian and Peter and their fellow Hedgehogs for stepping up to the enormous challenge of taking this on with us. They have lots of experience of organising community events (Carnival, Circus, racing events etc) and have been a source of support, help, good humour and expertise.

We also need to give a special mention to Jessica Faircloth who has worked her magic with website design, PR and marketing. Thank you, Jessica! Your enthusiasm for a project you were tricked into taking on, drawing on your experience of charity fundraising and marketing, is beyond belief and we are forever grateful.

And Hels Palmer of Helix Design, thank you for our gorgeous new branding and logo. Check out her site if your company is looking for help with branding.

Thank you to The Round Table for many years organising this event with us and for supporting the handover this year. We hope to still see many of you on the day.

To all of the volunteers who help in the run-up, marshalling on the day or who sign up to ride the event – THANK YOU!!!

Our riders
