Farnham Charity Bike Ride, here for 2024.

The Farnham Charity Bike Ride has a new date! Now riding on Sunday 15th September 2024.

The Ride

New for 2024, the Farnham Charity Bike Ride will be taking place on:

Sunday 15th September 2024

Tickets are available now 🙂

Route Difficulty

Routes 16 and 25 miles
It is strongly recommended that children under 10 be attached to the adult’s bicycle, e.g. bike seat or tagalong, as there are some steep hills and it’s a long way! It is solely the responsibility of the named adult rider to decide whether children are sufficiently competent and fit enough to complete the ride.

Route 50 miles
This is a testing ride and not recommended for children under the age of 16.

Route 75 mile
This is a challenging ride and should only be attempted by riders confident of completing the distance in the time available. Routes are closed at around 4pm.

Start Times

  • 75 mile: 08:00
  • 50 mile: 08:30
  • 25 mile: 09:00
  • 16 mile: 09:30

About Us

This is the 16th year of the Farnham Charity Bike Ride. For the past 15 years it has been run by St Andrews School and the Farnham Round Table. This year though, FRT has handed the baton over to the Farnham Hedgehogs who are excited to be involved in this incredible charity event for Farnahm.

"Farnham charity bike ride is an incredibly warm and welcoming event. My first one was the 25-mile course, which also was my first ever organised cycling event. It was such a great experience, with a whole host of people coming together to help me when I got a puncture! I made it to the finish line and was hungry for more. Last year I tackled the 50-mile route and this year I’m going for the long one! I can’t recommend this event and the people who organise it enough, particularly to build your confidence in pushing your abilities on the bike.”

“The Farnham Charity Bike ride is a wonderful event. I have done the 25 mile and 50 mile routes in recent years and both were really fantastic, well organised experiences.
Unlike a lot of other cycling events, it is non-competitive where the focus is on enjoying yourself. From the moment you arrive for registration, there is a relaxed and happy atmosphere. The coffee shops were open and Afonso from The Bicycle Cave was offering last minute tune ups, both of which were much appreciated! The routes are incredibly well thought out and take participants through the stunning Surrey Hills. Some parts of the routes are more challenging than others (think big hills!) but perfectly manageable with a bit of effort, and the camaraderie with the other riders and encouragement from the numerous Marshalls dotted around the course was fantastic. There are plenty of well stocked pit stops to help keep you going which are run by friendly and helpful volunteers. Overall the bike ride really is a wonderful experience and I do not hesitate recommending it to anyone. I’m already looking forward to this year’s ride!"

I really enjoyed it, you need lots of energy for the the hills because they’re hard work. 😂 I liked racing people, and everyone clapping and cheering. 😍
